Server Information
Data Center 1: The Environment and Security:
Controlled air-conditioning systems protect and cool down
mission-critical equipment. The facility is controlled by York
quad-compressor / duel-blower redundant systems to ensure the
equipment a virtually dust-free computing environment, complete with
temperature, humidity, and air-quality regulation. The access to the
network operation center are restricted and is monitored by
qualified personnel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Visitors and hosting are only allowed on-site if they are escorted
by a staff. The entire location is monitored continuously, ensuring
prompt response and thorough coverage to fire and security alarms. A
full digital video surveillance system of the network operations
center with full on-site and off-site recording is also in place.
Fail-proof Power Supply:
The network operation center has 800amps 480v (3200amps 110v)
3-Phase power currently available from PP&L, and the facility is
backed up by UPS systems on each individual rack, as well as an APC
Silcom 500KVA system for facility-wide enterprise coverage. In rare
cases of utility outage, the Cummins 250KW diesel generator will
start automatically, taking over for the UPS systems and supplying
all necessary power for the facility.
Connectivity:
The network operations center is connected via multiple OC192 fiber
connections to Verizon and Commonwealth Telephone, as well as a
2GBPS+ fiber from PPL Telcom. The servers utilize a Gig-E connection
from Global Crossing and OC3/100MBPS Fast Ethernet Drops from
Level3, Verio, XO, and a Cogent backup line to handle high loads,
which can also help diffuse DDoS attacks, etc. For redundancy, the
network is currently running BGP4 to maintain the speed and uptime
of the servers in the facility.
Data Center 2: Network Operation Center Connection:
All servers will be on on VERIO+Cogentco multihomed redundant
connection, and all your traffic gets routed through the VERIO
connection. The additional cogentco connection is for just-in-case
backup. The ping time as reported to us by our hosting to their site
hosted in our servers is around 15-35ms depending on various states.
